Job Description

HII - Mission Technologies is currently seeking a Configuration Application Manager to work out of their client's Merrifield, VA office in support of the USPS Engineering Systems Software Development Life Cycle Process Management Project.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Performs system administration, application development, database management, and additional support services. Has basic understanding of change and configuration management in the context of a software development team.
  • Know development application terminology, architecture, clients, and interfaces.
  • Ability to navigate the Windows Desktop Client, the Web Client and interface.
  • Use the Windows Explorer interface.
  • Perform version management and parallel development, and create and manage projects and streams.
  • Perform change management tasks.
  • Create and manage requests.
  • Track changesets and manage baselines.
  • Execute reviews, automated analysis and builds.
  • Has knowledge of Configuration Management process modeling and product implementation.
  • Configures Lifecycles, Requests, Items, Request and Item Relationships, Baselines, Design Parts, Users and Role Assignments, Privileges and User Interface Profiles, and Attributes.
  • Enforces Change Management through Rules and Request Priming.
  • Sets Data Formats and Upload Rules.
  • Configures tool for automated reviews, code analysis and builds.
  • Has knowledge of commonly-used development application tools.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in the field.
