HII Mission Technologies is seeking help supporting COMNAVAIRLANT’s Future Readiness Program to provide technical services in the development and management of US Navy Carrier modernization planning, Ship Change Documents (SCDs), schedules, databases and processing metrics in order to provide statistical and graphical costs and trends. The selected candidate will be a part of the team supporting our Senior Engineer and Modernization Manager during transition times of the Fleet Modernization Program (FMP) to the Navy Date Environment (NDE) helping to coordinate with internal COMNAVAIRLANT leadership and external stakeholder leadership, including; NAVSEA, PMS 312, NSWC, NNST and CVNs. #LI-MJ *MV *TE

What you will do

  • Collects, reviews, integrates and analyzes historical and current maintenance and logistics data from aircraft carrier CSMPs, CASREPs, INSURV, OARS, MFOM, DRRS-N, DRRS, NDE, in-house data bases, inspection reports, visit reports and other data sources as required.
  • Develops statistical, graphical and text analysis of equipment reliability, maintenance trends, and operational readiness.
  • Facilitates CVN daily updates to internal and external stakeholders using Microsoft Office Products.
  • Maintains a comprehensive working knowledge of requirements in the Area of Expertise (AOR), including references and standards per Naval Instructions and requirements.
  • Analyzes the impact of ICAVs on the development of aircraft carrier AWPs in order to identify issues and provide recommendations through the ROC Cell Manager, ROC Manager and ROC officer. For improved assessments to reduce areas of growth and new work.
  • Create guidance and requirements for Carrier Readiness as required by co-coordinating with Codes within AIRLANT for guidance.
  • Assists with development of metrics as directed by the ROC Cell Manager, ROC Manager and ROC Officer.
  • Other duties as assigned by ROC Manager.

What you must have

  • Must have 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma/Equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.
  • Must have knowledge/experience with maintenance and modernization of Navy Class Ships.
  • Must have working knowledge of Ship Change Documents (SCDs) and Availability Work Packages (AWP).
  • Must have experience analyzing data and trends.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and Power Point.
  • Must have a current or active DoD Secret Security Clearance and maintain that clearance throughout employment.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain base access credentials.

Preferred: Bonus points for...

  • Past experience supporting COMNAVAIRLANT in availability and/or readiness on US Navy Carrier Modernization is highly desired.
  • Experience developing metrics for presentation material a plus.
  • Experience leading personal to complete time sensitive projects a plus. 

Physical Requirements

May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
