Job Description

The Engineering Team Scrum Master manages the planning and execution of Agile teams and processes. Scrum Masters assist the team in executing activities; facilitate communication between teams and tracking inter-dependencies. Scrum masters coach and advise teams on tailoring and executing best practices.



Essential Job Responsibilities

Duties include:

• Coach teams in developing and maintaining processes and implementing best practices

• Lead teams in conducting Agile team rituals to guide delivery of features / capability

• Participate in team and program-level events

• Ensure project status in Jira is current

• Facilitate cross team communication

• Manage and resolve interdependencies

• Provide process statistics and reporting

• Define and improve processes

• Customize Jira and Confluence

• Participate in multi-functional teams and manage work through JIRA

• Team lead responsible for oversight of all Scrum Master duties

• Coach program in tailoring, implementing, executing, and improving Essential SAFe processes

• Develop team and program-level process and execution metrics

• Coordinates and leads Agile assorted portions of project level events

• Lead Agile activities across 1-2 large scale projects and other small-scale projects.



Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
  •  (7) years of relevant experience in Agile project support in Systems Engineering or a similar multi-disciplinary team environment (Agile certification from Scrum.org, Scrum Alliance, Scaled Agile, or Project Management Institute, or similar organization will count as 1 year of experience)
  • Experience in defining and managing work in an Agile process
  • Experience customizing and managing JIRA
  • Experience customizing and managing Confluence
  • Experience customizing and managing GitLab
  • Certified Scrum Master (Certified Scrum Master, Certified SAFe® Scrum Master, Professional Scrum Master, or equivalent), SAFe® Release Train Engineer (RTE), SAFe® 4 Program Consultant (SPC), or a substantially similar intermediate to advanced Agile team or program management certification *AI *MV  *EP *TE
  • • Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.  #LI-MH1
